Good basic mountain biking shoe

I was looking for a mountain biking, clipped shoe with a Vibram sole for traction. This shoe fits the need. It is comfortable and seems durable, although I have only had them a week. I do miss the cross strapping over the laces found on many biking shoes, and my old Lakes. It provides a better fit and greater stiffness, which is why I have not rated these above 3. For general beating around, these are good value.

Good value general use / MTB shoes

Nice shoes, and a good price.
For those with big feet they are actually quite generously cut for cycle shoes. I wear a UK 14 so ordered the EU 50 which is, I suppose, a UK 14.5. And they are absolutely spot on. So the usual thing that cycle gear is tiny not really apply.
